I’ve been messing around with some watercolors ( provided courtesy of Mr. Bova– thanks! ) and watercolor-pencils the past few days… and with Roald Dahl’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox” coming to the movie theater soon, I thought I would try designing the villains.

Boggis and Bunce and Bean
One fat, one short, one lean
These horrible crooks
So different in looks
Were none the less equally mean.

Here’s how I’ve felt about the movie as it’s neared release:  excitement–>disappointment–>resentment–>encouragement–> anticipation with a hint of worry.  update: I’ve seen it now and it’s great.

Also there is a painting of a farm on the top of a mountain.  The farm grows carrots, but you can only get so far with carrots alone– so the old saying goes, I imagine.
